Pledge a Donation for Every Birdie the Tour Players Make on June 12th!
This is our second annual Birdies for the Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, and this year's event will be hosted at the River Club. We have four tour players make as many birdies as they can to raise funds for the Home of Hope at the Gwinnett Children's Shelter.
Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Shelter
The new “Home of Hope” at The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter was born out of necessity, along with the support of many helping hands in our community and beyond.
The Home of Hope is a nonprofit, 501©3 Corporation and a residential care facility which provides services for homeless children from 0-17 years of age, along with their young mothers. They also provide care and services for homeless girls aging out of the foster care system at 18 years of age. They provide customized “Life Plans” that are designed around the physical, emotional and educational needs of their kids, while helping Mom get a plan of action to get back on her feet.
The Home of Hope's goal is not simply to be a place of refuge, they are the “NEXT STEP” towards independence. They take their guests from homelessness, to hopeful, to a home of their own.
How it works:
Pledge a dollar amount ($1 to $100+) per birdie the tour players make combined during the round. After Monday the 12th we will let you know how many they made, and we will accept your donation accordingly. You can keep up with the action on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) throughout the day. In 2016, the four tour players made a combined 20 birdies! We have an estimated donation levels listed below. You will pledge your amount before they tee off on June 12th, and we will collect donations upon completion of the event. Donations can be made via credit card or check. If you want to donate a specific amount, we do accept specified donations.
